German eagle only winged

Garmisch-Partenkirchen -
hailed as Ösi-Adler Gregor Schlierenzauer his triumph at the New Year's jumping in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, were the German "Skihüpfer" sad debacle after their historic mark.
After 16 Square of the best German Pascal Bodmer disappointed again before a crowd of 25,000 is common, the worst mid-term results ever in the Four Hills Tournament.
"We are currently looking pretty old, because we have no one who can jump in the tips. The "arrived just as Martin Schmitt jump currently well below its potential," said national coach Werner Schuster disappointed.
The weakest tour start in 24 years followed in Oberstdorf with Bodmer in 12th place on the Olympic ski jump in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the provisional low point.
No German planes in the first two jump in the Top 10 it had previously given only in 1964 and most recently in 2003, when landed Hannawald in Oberstdorf ranked only twelve. Bodmer was so unhappy after his 243.6 points: "I was in the top 10, but the jumps were not just top level."
Top were the superior Austrian eagle. Schlierenzauer won ahead of his countryman Wolfgang Loitzl. Only in third place was taken by the Swiss Simon Ammann, although he had recruited at 143.5 meters, the largest expanse of the tour's history.
"New year, new luck. What will ma more if you stand at the top, "said Schlierenzauer. After an upset stomach and ninth place in Oberstdorf, the winner particularly thanked the doctor. In the overall standings, however, the tour-this time against fourth placed Andreas Kofler Loitzl remains in the lead.
